Jane Addams
Jane Addams was born on September 6th, 1860, Cedarville, Illinois, and died on May 21st, 1935. She was a founder of Hull House and a recipient of the Nobel Peace Prize. From her reading of Charles Dickens and seeing her mother being kind to the poor in her childhood community spurned her to become a doctor and administer to the poor. She was an avid reformer and was interested in inter racialism. At the Hull House she led studies to help the poor and to increase the chances of success for immigrants.
